Steeped in ethnic tradition, Latin weddings have a lot to present in the way of special event and community. From mariachis to churros, there’s a great deal to take enthusiasm from with regards to your own special day. But with a lot of unique customs, how can you really know what will be a strike with your guests? All of us asked DISC JOCKEY Persist, one of our major Chicago-based wedding DJs, to break straight down some of the most prevalent Latino wedding traditions.

First, it could be important to keep in mind that all lovers are different, and their individual ethnical heritage is going to know what kind of Latina wedding customs they want to incorporate. And so while it might be tempting to place a bunch of Latina wedding customs on your list, it’s better to start with determining what speaks to you personally and your partner, and then discussing those alternatives with your parents and friends.

It’s important too to be clear with friends and family about what is and isn’t area of the ceremony, when this will stop surprises and confusion around the big day. With that being said, it’s entirely acceptable designed for couples to combine Latin wedding practices with other contemporary elements that they love, too!

One common lovefort credits tradition at Catholic Hispanic weddings is las arras matrimoniales, or the money of love. Throughout the ceremony, the groom has his fresh bride with thirteen cash (twelve gold & one platinum), which symbolizes his assure to provide for her and her long run family. The couple’s beneficiaries often supply coins, that are usually retained in a jewelry field or basic pouch.
